Sleepytime

Inspired by Romans 12:13

“Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.”

Rhyme for the Great-hearted

Heavenly bodies orbit to town, for the earth has plenty to spare. Our water and crust are definite musts. You can “poof” in the clouds in midair!

These guests are so huge and gaseous too, they rotate and radiate fumes, no chores, no manners, no help with it all. Of course, never forgetting their moons.

But the birth of the earth, was immersed in such worth, unlike those orbiting nearby. Expressing the design of the Designer they are, lacking but still dignified.

For the Son has provided, for all His worlds, by way of the simplest decree. That sharing with these the least of my worlds is like sharing unto me.

The guests from left to right are Uranus, Saturn, Mercury, Mars, Neptune, Jupiter, Pluto and Venus. The moon parades around as usual.

While guests sleep, if you squint, between the clouds, far below, is the earth, doing the dishes.

Here is an earlier point for “Sleepytime” probably close to the time I realized I need more width for these planets to sit comfortably into the clouds. So I switched render settings to a very wide angle panoramic setting. These types of renders always take a lot of time. The 3D clouds are complicated things to render.

Next time you’re outside, look up at a cloud and contemplate how you could figure out it’s surface area or calculate it’s volume. Yet that is what we are asking of the computer. It is a very computational thing.
