Nevada Rocks

Just some lighthearted editorial buzz …

Nevada Rocks

I have been around the world and I’ve seen many rocks.

Rocks that lack moral strength, rocks whose beauty replicates the starry night.

I have grieved with rocks burdened to occupy the most ungraceful positions,

and I have long marveled at the soaring skyward cliffs befitting the throne of the Most High.

But Nevada rocks really rock. I guess that’s what I’m saying.

Oh, and I like guitars too.

Behind the Scenes

Nevada Rocks started out as a poster for a local music festival. The Carson City music festival organizers held a contest for local artists to contribute ideas for their advertising. I submitted the image at right and they liked it and used it.

Later I got the idea of mapping the “battle born” insignia from the Nevada state flag onto the guitar.
